Keeping the Construction Industry Going

The construction industry has struggled a bit in recent years. This is not because there's not amazing technology out there to make construction easier. There's tons of technology, and it's amazing! Rather, the struggle seems to be that there is a shortage of labor. Many young people are not as interested in working in construction anymore. We hope that we can do our part to change that. In posting on this blog, we hope to reach a wide audience, including young people who may want to work as contractors. There are excellent jobs in the industry, and learning the basics on this blog can set you up for success.

Maximizing Space: Clever Storage Solutions for Your Kitchen Remodel

Are you planning a kitchen remodel and looking for ways to maximize the space in your new design? Whether you have a small kitchen or simply want to make the most of every inch, incorporating clever storage solutions can revolutionize your kitchen's functionality.

From innovative cabinet designs to creative organization ideas, here are some tips to help you optimize your kitchen storage during your remodeling project.

Pull-Out Pantry Shelves

Say goodbye to digging through cluttered shelves and hello to easy access with pull-out pantry shelves. These shelves are designed to slide out, allowing you to see and reach items stored at the back without any hassle. Pull-out pantry shelves are perfect for storing spices, canned goods, and other frequently used items. They maximize storage space and keep everything organized, making your cooking experience more efficient.

Corner Cabinets with Lazy Susans

Utilizing corner spaces can be a challenge, but corner cabinets with lazy Susans provide an excellent solution. These cabinets feature rotating shelves, allowing you to access items in the back with a simple spin. With a lazy Susan, you can efficiently store pots, pans, and other kitchen essentials while making the most of the often underutilized corner area.

Overhead Pot Racks

If you have limited cabinet space, consider installing an overhead pot rack. These racks hang from the ceiling and provide a stylish and practical storage solution for your pots and pans. By hanging them overhead, you free up valuable cabinet space for other items. Plus, having your cookware within easy reach can make meal preparation a breeze.

Multi-Functional Island

Incorporate a multi-functional island into your kitchen remodel to enhance storage capabilities. Choose an island design that includes built-in drawers and cabinets to store frequently used items, such as utensils, cutting boards, and baking sheets. Additionally, you can install hooks on the sides of the island for hanging kitchen towels, oven mitts, and even small pots or pans. A well-designed island not only increases storage space but serves as a versatile workspace as well.

Wall-Mounted Magnetic Strips

When it comes to storing knives and other metal kitchen utensils, consider utilizing wall-mounted magnetic strips. These strips keep your knives within arm's reach while eliminating the need for a bulky knife block on the countertop. By mounting the strips on an empty wall space, you free up drawer space and add a sleek and modern touch to your kitchen decor.
